Quick update before I go to class.

Going to school here at Winona has truly been a blessing. I was talking with Mike about two weeks ago on the way to church and basically I think God put me here to bring me closer to him. God knew I needed to be surrounded by other Christians in order to continue growing and to maintain my focus on him. Everyday has been a learning experience and I'm the happiest I have ever been...Excluding the days when satans smacking me around. But even on those days God always shows me he is by my side and he provides me with the comfort and strength I need.

I always look forward to Thursdays because that means bible study..which I thoroughly enjoy because Ryan is funny and personable, I can always connect to what he is saying. And of course I get to see Carrie, Sheena and Miguel which is always great...I don't know where I would be without these people.

Classes are going pretty well...ignorning the few bumps in the road I encountered last week. College is taking a bit of time for me to get used to..some of the profs. are just a little out there and I don't agree with half the stuff they say but besides that it is all good. The roomie and I get along pretty well (just diff. sleeping scheds) but otherwise we are great.

Saturday is the first day of Fall and this excites me...fall is fab fab fabulous. But I will stop there because I could write a novel.

Alright it is about time for me to end this because I have math at 2.

Unitl next time,

go outside and enjoy the fallness.

Just a little something I found on a friends site...thought I'd share
Religious versus faithful. Which one are you?

  • If you are religious you go to church because you feel you have to. If you are faithful you go for no other reason than to worship God and learn about him.
  • If you are religious you remember who wasn't in church. If you are faithful you think about all the missed opportunities YOU'VE had that you could have shared time with God himself.
  • If you are religious you condemn other people's mistakes (but of course say you don't judge). If you are faithful you forgive and look at your own mistakes and realize you aren't any better or worse.
  • If you are religious you recite the Lord's prayer because its what you've always done. If you are faithful you get on your knees every day knowing that you are not worthy of his love but live for him because he alone IS worthy.
  • If you are religious you only celebrate Jesus' life and death on holidays. If you are faithful you wake up every morning knowing what he did for you and trying your best to love him with everything you have.
  • If you are religious you believe what you hear or raised to believe and take it for what it is. If you are faithful you are urgent in getting to know what God really says about it in his word.
  • If you are religious you open the door for another person and feel good about yourself for doing it. If you are faithful when you open that door you feel humbled because its just something we ought to do for each other.
  • If you are religious you hide your faith as if its a secret. If you are faithful you let Jesus' light shine in and through you as if its the greatest gift of ALL!
  • If you are religious you believe you get to heaven by being a good person, doing the right thing, or being in church more than not. If you are faithful you believe that it is finished and there is no other way to God the father than through Jesus Christ dieing on the cross and by confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord and Savior.
  • If you are religious you take pride in your RELIGION. If you are faithful you boast only in your Lord God. (and generally, you don't like the word religion; What is your religion worth if you do not have faith, and what purpose does it serve?)

More to come later...updating this during my break in my 3 hour soc. lecture!

God is good!
